Carotid plaque vulnerability assessment could guide the decision to perform endarterectomy. Ultrafast ultrasound imaging (UF) can evaluate local flow velocities over an entire 2D image, allowing measurement of the wall shear stress (WSS). We aimed at evaluating the feasibility of WSS measurement in a prospective series of patients with carotid stenosis.

16 patients with histologically proven f-HCC lesions and 30 patients with FNH lesions were retrospectively reviewed regarding CEUS features to determine the malignant or benign nature of the focal liver lesions (FLL). Five radiologists assessed the CEUS enhancement pattern and came to a consensus using the EFSUMB (European Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology) guideline criteria.
Hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) is an important neurologic problem in the perinatal period. The subsequent neurological deficits are a variety of motor deficits, grouped together with cerebral palsy, cognitive deficits and seizures. The neuropathological features vary considerably with gestational age and the duration of the insult. In preterm infants periventricular leukomalacia occurs, whereas cortical and subcortical parasagittal lesions and lesions of the basal ganglia are seen in term infants.
