30th Euroson Congress of the EFSUMB

The next EUROSON meeting will take place this year in Poznan, Poland from the 6 – 9 September in conjunction with the Polish Society. Preparations are well advanced with a lively program scheduled in the delightful setting of the charming city of Poznan. This year there is an ultra-early registration fee set at a very reasonable cost; look on the website and book now to take advantage of this extremely generous registration fee. We welcome as many as possible of the EFSUMB members to join us for the education and, of course, meeting old and new friends.

Bericht zur DEGUM-Pressekonferenz am 12. Dezember 2018 in Berlin

Bei vielen Untersuchungen ist die Ultraschalldiagnostik die Methode der Wahl. Eine wichtige Voraussetzung für ein treffsicheres Ergebnis ist jedoch die Qualifikation des untersuchenden Arztes. Diese ist aber nicht immer ausreichend vorhanden: So wird beispielsweise bei Routineschwangerschaftsuntersuchungen nur ein Drittel aller Herzfehler bei Ungeborenen erkannt. Mit Blick auf die aktuelle Novellierung der (Muster-)Weiterbildungsordnung für Ärzte forderten Experten der DEGUM deshalb auf einer Pressekonferenz in Berlin klare Qualitätsrichtlinien für die Ultraschalldiagnostik.

Ultraschall in der Medizin / European Journal of Ultrasound publishes scientific papers and contributions from a variety of disciplines on the diagnostic and therapeutic applications of ultrasound with an emphasis on clinical application. Technical papers with a physiological theme as well as the interaction between ultrasound and biological systems might also occasionally be considered for peer review and publication, provided that the translational relevance is high and the link with clinical applications is tight. The editors and the publishers reserve the right to publish selected articles online only. Authors are welcome to submit supplementary video material. Letters and comments are also accepted, promoting a vivid exchange of opinions and scientific discussions.
All articles submitted to the European Journal of Ultrasound undergo rigorous peer review. With web-based manuscript submission and expedited turn-around, rapid electronic and print publication is guaranteed.

Impact Factor 2014: 4.924

Publication language is German or English.
